Churches’ Plan In Auckland
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. April 18 Two halls of residence are planned jointly by the Methodist and Presbyterian churches in Auckland to accommodate 300 university students on a site near the Trinity Methodist Theological College in Grafton road The scheme, which is estimated to cost £600.000. was ann.Hinced today by Dr D M William, principal of the college and convener of the Methodist committee on the project, and the Rev O T Baragwanath on behalf of the Auckland Presbytery The two halls will each contain 150 bed-sitting rooms and will be situated on a twoacre triangular site owned by the college council It Is part of the original land given to the Method i«t Church by Sir George Grey
