MAN’S BODY IDENTIFIED
Washed Up On
Beach (N.Z Press Association) MASTERTON, April 18 The body found at Palhser Bay this afternoon has been identified as that of Douglas Lindsy Blackmore, aged 38. of 17 Hall crescent. Lowe: Hutt He was identified by a stepbrother, Mervyn Williamson of Porirua East Evidence of identification was taken this evening by Mr K. Lang. J.P., of Featherston.
The Medical Officer at the Greytown Hospital (Dr. C. D Banks) has been instructed by the District Coroner (Mr N C C. Shepherd! to conduct a post-mortem examination
The body was found at 1.35 p.m by Constable J Scott. of the Featherston police It was washed up on the beach of Palliser Bay near Lake Ferry, six miles east of the position where the launch Sylvonia was found beached rear Barney’s Hut. south of Windy Point.
