Reshuffle In Congo
(N.ZJ’.A.-Raut er—Copyright) LEOPOLDVILLE, April 16 The Congolese President (Mr Kasavubu) has authorised the Prime Minister (Mr Adoula) to reshuffle his Cabinet. A new Government will be announced shortly, Leopoldville Radio said today.
Mr Adoula is expected to use the reshuffle to broaden the base of support for his coalition government.
A reshuffle—the fourth since Mr Adoula took office in August, 1961—has been expected.
Well-informed sources said Mr Moise Tshombe’s Conakat Party would receive three Cabinet posts, including economic affairs. Mr Adoula is expected to give stronger representation to the powerful federalist Abako group and the Congo National Movement.
