Kaikoura Red Cross Work
The Kaikoura sub-centre of the Red Cross Society had a strong backing of interested members, said the chairman (Mrs L. P. Blunt) in her report to the annua] meeting She thanked all who had assisted the sub-centre during the year. Donations had been made to the Waiarua flood relief fund (£10), support of refugee children (£l5), and the Persian earthquake relief fund (£49 "st. It was decided at the meeting to give a further £5O to the North Canterbury Red Cross Centre's emergency fund.
The following officers were elected: —patron. Mr C. H. Upham; president, Mrs L. P. Blunt; vice-presidents, Mesdames E. Clark, V. J Corbett, H. J Ingram; treasurer. Mr D. Adams; assistant treasurer. Mrs D W. Lee; secretary, Mrs J. Lovett; hospital visitor, Mrs P E. Foster
