Average Up To 103Igns

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, April 16. Four new Australian records were established today on the final day of the fourday yearling sales. It was the most successful sale in the history of the Australian thoroughbred breeding industry. A total of 655 lots were catalogued and 530 were sold for an aggregate of 546.905gns —an average of 103Igns. This was an Australian record for aggregate and average, bettering the records set last year, when the aggregate was 464,540gns and the average 918.06gn5. The former champion racehorse, Todman. also achieved a record in his first season. Thirteen of his progeny sold for 33,100gns—an average of 2546 gns. It was a new record for a first-season stallion.

The fourth new record was created by Woodlands Stud, which this year sold the record number of 63 yearlings foi 88,920gn5.
