Report In “Some Few Weeks”

It would be some few weeks before the Committee of Inquiry into the Wheat. Flour and Bread Industries had its report ready for the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Marshall) said Mr D J. Kerr, the committee’s secretary, yesterday The three-man committee comprises a Christchurch solicitor. Mr J H Macdonald (chairman); a public accountant. Mr R. G Compton; and a Timaru farmer. Mr W. C Stafford. They completed the taking of evidence last November. Mr Kerr said they were still deliberating on the evidence, and had not yet completed their report.
