New Soviet Rocket Commander

Marshal Nikolai Krylov has been annointed Com-mander-in-Chief of Russia’s strategic rocket forces, usually reliable sources said There was no official confirmation. The post was formerly held by Marshal Sergei Biryuzov. reported last month to have become Chief of the Soviet General Staff. Soviet tactical missiles are still believed under the control of the Commander of Artillery. Marshal Sergei Varentsov.
