CAR THEFT CHARGES
Man Remanded (N Z Press A ssociation > WELLINGTON April 15 A man charged with stealing three motor-cars valued a' £3300, and with three counts of breaking and entering. all alleged offences being committed within three months, appeared before Mr J A Wicks SM in the Mae irtrate's Court today He is Morton William Doyle aged 48 a storeman No plea was entered Or the application ol Detec-tive-Sergeant R L Butler he was remanded til] April 22 Bail was opposed by the police and was granted by the Magistrate after he had heard in chambers an application by Doyle's counsel Mr G C Kent
A youth of 15. who was charged with stealing two cars and of breaking and entering, will appear in the Children's Court
Brittany Passengers.—All passengers from the United Kingdom to Australia and New Zealand who were tn have sailed on the Brittany from Piraeus. Greece, have had alternatives arranged for them The Brittany was destroyed by fire at Piraeus on April B.—(P.A.)
