BROKE INTO BANK
Intruders Set Off Alarm
(N.Z Press Association) AUCKLAND. April 15.
As the result of an alarm given by a “New Zealand Herald" delivery agent at Ngaruawahia this morning, police were quickly on the scene of an attempted robbery at the Bank of New Zealand.
The agent heard a burglar alarm ringing and went to he Post Office exchange attendant. who called the police. The police found that the intruders had forced their way through a window and an interior door. When they attempted to open the strongroom door, the burglar alarm operated.
