Man Fell From Ladder (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 9 Two abie seamen aboard the freighter Kaimiro at Auckland acted quickly this morning to rescue a man m the water with a broken pelvis and a broken arm The man, William McLeod, a night watchman on the oil barge Hinuwaka. fell 30ft when a ladder between the vessels slipped He fell on the Hinuwaka and into the water The seamen, Tom Bolton and John Liddle, heard moans and shone a torch from the deck of the Kaimiro Mr Liddle then clambered down a rope to reach the man who was supporting himself in the water between the two vessels. Mr McLeod’s condition today was reported to be fair.
