April 9 Representatives of the United Arab Republic, Syria and Iraq meet in Cairo this morning to discuss a draft national charter for a “Federal Staite” comprising the three countries They will also discuss the basis for the Federation, which was agreed last night They will report later to a full session of delegations from the three countries, it was officially announced.
Duke Late After Getting Lost
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, April 9. The Duke of Edinburgh, driving his Alvis, got lost in a maze of streets in Reading. Berkshire, last night after following a diversion sign. He arrived 11 minutes late al a local barracks to present a trophy to territorial army competition winners.
