Stuart Chapman had been nominated from the school for the council’s consideration. he said. Mr Ryan said the new school block would be opened a’ a short ceremony on April 8. The board agreed to hold a demonstration or open ■evening on May 2 for parents to see the school in operation. The board decided to invite the Governor-General (Sir Bernard Fergusson) and Lady Fergusson to visit the school on some occasion.
