Defence
Sir,—Can the people then be told that they are materialistic and selfish in their thoughts towards a collective defence scheme for the protection of this fair land? If apathy does exist, then I forgive it. Let’s see what we cn i do to correct it A firm, constructive lead from the Minister would be appreciated. Can we, as a small nation, taking into account geographic position, land mass, and population, establish and maintain a modern defence force unaided? Such vital issues are more than plain to the man in the street We place our trust in those decisions.—Yours, etc., J. MOORE. March 25, 1963.
