INDECENT ASSAULT
Man Fined £3O (N.Z. Press Association) NAPIER, Mar. 19. Geoffrey Spicer Kean, aged 46, a woolbuyer, of Napier, was fined £3O in the Napier Magistrate’s Court on a charge of indecently assaulting a giri aged 17. Kean pleaded guilty before Mr W. A. Harlow. S.M. Detective-Sergeant H. Baldock said the offence took place in a Napier travel agency on Friday. Kean indecently assaulted the girl who attended him when he was inquiring about a holiday in Japan. For Kean, Mr A. K. Monagan said that although the girl was not to blame, her dress was somewhat provocative. Kean succumbed to the temptation. Mr Harlow said Kean was a<n alcoholic, but had no previous offences on charges of a sexual nature.
