AN APPRECIATION

Mrs L. Millton

A correspondent writes: ‘‘With the passing of Mrs Lillian Millton, recently, another link with the past has gone. She was the daughter of Mr Delamain and was well known in Christchurch in her early days for her beauty and charm. This she kept to the end of her 95 years. Her husband, Mr Fred Millton, farmed in many parts of Canterbury, finally at Fallgate, Orari. Here one could always be sure of a warm welcome for she loved people and was beloved by many. “Miss Gwen Millton and Mrs R. E. Baker are daughters. There are four grandchildren and six great-grand-children all of whom were a joy and interest to Mrs Million. She rests under the lovely trees at Birch Hill and one is grateful for having had her friendship.”
