Comalco Exports From Australia
(N.ZJ’.A.-Reuter— Copyright) MELBOURNE. March 19. The Australian aluminium industry had begun exporting and a useful trade was expected, the general manager of Comalco Industries, Bell Bay (Mr A. L. Ellis) said yesterday. The new cargo liner Iberic was now loading 300 tons of aluminium at Bell Bay tor Britain, he said. The capacity of the plant was being substantially increased. Two years ago capacity was 12,000 tons a year. In June this year it would be 52,000 tons.
Mr Ellis said that the export of aluminium was a notable achievement because, until recently* Australia imported much aluminium.
New Listing.—The ordinary shares of Dominion Caterers, Ltd.. Christchurch, have been officially listed by the Stock Exchange Association of New Zealand. Paid capital of the company is £125,000 in 500.000 ordinary 5s shares. The financial year ends March 31, and ordinary dividend is payable halfyearly in December and July,
