STATE HOUSE REPAINTING

Sub-Standard Work Feared (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. March 19. Delegates said the cause of the alleged sub-standard work was the acceptance of uneconomic prices. A motion proposed by Mr A Baldwin, on behalf of the Hawke’s Bay association, “that the appropriate Government authorities be asked to enforce stricter supervision on Government painting contracts,” was passed.
