Driver Dies When Car Hits Bridge
(NZ. Press Association) PALM. NORTH. March 19. A motorist was killed last night when his car failed to negotiate the approach to the j Bailey bridge at Whakarongo. He was Peter Raymond Obey, aged 38. married, of Waitara. The car ripped away about a chain of the whitened approach fence before going through it There has been a previous fatal accident at this bridge as well as four other accidents causing injury to five persons, three of them seriously.
