On the course proper 40 feet out. Challen (O'Neill) and Plantation (Mahoney) were clear of Gymkhana (Watson) at the end of a smart five furlongs in imin 4 S-Ssec the last three in 38 3-Seec Jt was sound work bv both Plantation and Challen. which seemed evenly matched Thev form a strong hand for T. R. Howe in the J. M. Johnston Memorial Handicap. Ilbint (O'Neill) was going easily alongside Hi-Minx (Taylor) with two lengths to Momentous (Wateon) at the completion of five furlongs in Imin feec. the last three in 39 2-Ssec. Ilbint galloped weU. She was wide all the way on the first day at Trentham and may do bettor in the Sires Produce Stakes. The Bandit (Whiteman) ran right away from Authentic (Taylor) at the finish of six furlongs in Imin 18 4-Ssec.
