£24,250 GIFTS TO NAPIER

Major Bequest For Tree-Planting (N.Z. Press Association) NAPIER, March 16. The Napier City Council and other interests In Napier will benefit to the extent of £24.250 under the terms of the will of Mr Haskell Anderson. formerly of Napier, who died in Wellington last Sunday. The bequests are:—Napier City Council, £20,000, to establish the J. N. Anderson family endowment fund for the purpose of tree planting in reserves: St. John’s Cathedral, Napier, £2500 for cathedral funds; St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. Napier, £lOOO for church funds; New Zealand Crippled Children Society, Hawke's Bay branch, £500; Napier Rotary Club. £250.
