Decision Next Month (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Mar. 12. Tasman Empire Airways, will make its recommendation to the Government for buying new jet aircraft by the end of next month, the ‘general manager (Mr F. A. Reeves) said in Auckland today. The order will be for three aircraft which will be ready for service by the time the Mangere Airport is opened late in 1961. Mr Reeves said he could not say what aircraft would be ordered. The choice will be between the British VC 10, the Boeing 707 or the Douglas DCB. T.KA.L. has a technical team in Britain studying the VCIO and sending back information for evaluation. Technical information is already to hand on the American jets.
