TEST UMPIRES APPOINTED

Mr L. C. Johnston (Canterbury) and Mr W. T. Martin (Wellington) have been appointed umpires for the third test between England and New Zealand at Christchurch. Mr Martin umpired in the second test at Wellington, but it is Mr Johnston’s first test appointment, although he has umpired in Plunket Shield matches.
