The following special awards in the home garden competition held by the Canterbury Horticultural Society last month were announced by the society’s secretary (Mr J. Fraser) yesterday:— Design, harmony, and arrangement (New Zealand Institute of Architects’ trpohy. and Dominion Aquarium and Pond Society Challenge Cupt: A. D. Cameron, 14 Rochford place. Cultivation and maintenance (Allison Memorial trophy): M. A. Cox, 204 Lyttelton street. Flowering trees and shrubs (Nairn’s Nursery special prize): M. A. Cox Perennials (Mrs H. M. Taylor’s trophy): M. A. Cox. Vegetables (Arthur Yates and Comnony's special prize): M. A. Cox. Lawns (Kennet and Company's trophy): O. R. Chillingworth and Mrs Chillingworth, 5 Rowe place. Fems (T. Smart's trophy): C. E. Humphries, 218 Riverlaw terrace.
