Tactile Fit For Heat

(NJ!. Free* Asm.—Copyright) SYDNEY, March 6. The New Zealand colt, Tactile, is shaping well for the New South Wales Pacers’ Derby. Tactile will run in a qualifying heat for the Derby on Friday night. Qualifiers will race in the £4OOO final on March 15.

The field for the Derby is one of toe beat for years. Tactile, winner of toe New Zealand Detoy >nd Great Northern Derby before hia South Australian Derby win on February 18, won a 12}furlong free-for-eU at toe Fairfield Gymkhana at the week-end.

After racing on toe outride of toe leader, Aussie Chimes, for moat of the journey. Tactile beat that horse by a length. He ran toe distance in 3min 30sec, a mile rate of 2min Baec, and clocked Imin Isec for his teat half-mile.
