Southdown and Romney rams of quality sold soundly st the Kaikoura ram and ewe fair held in Pyne, Gould, Guinness Ltd.’s saleyard on Monday. One-shear Romneys made 6gns to 9gns, one-shear Southdowns 4}gns to 7gns, and South Dorset Down and two and three-shear Southdown rams sold at 3gns to Signs. A total of 837 sheep was offered. Three lines of fouryear Romney ewes in light condition made 34s to 365, in line with recent Addington rates, and Romney ewe lambs sold strongly at up to 48a, and wether lambs to 41s.
