MAN’S BODY FOUND

Missing Last July (NJI. Press Association) DUNEDIN, March 8. The body of Lyall Godfrey Bryan, aged 22, of 22 Yaldhurst road, Christchurch, was brought out from the Haast pass to Wanaka today. Mr Bryan, who went missing on July 7 last year, while fording the Haast river during a deer stalking expedition was “presumed drowned” by the Cromwell Coroner, Mr L. A. Jelley, ait an inquest last Thursday.

Bryan’s body was found at the junction of the Haast and Thomas rivers, by a

Christchurch deer stalker, Neil Harris, of 11 Shearer street, Papanui, on Monday.

Constable G. Burgess, and the local undertaker went into the Haast pass today and brought the body back to Wanaka, where funeral arrangements will be made. Constable Burgess said the body had definitely been identified as that of Bryan.
