FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—An anti-cyclone in the central Tasman Sea extends over the South Island. A frontal zone is moving very slowly northwards over northern areas of the North Island. Forecast:— Canterbury.—North-easterly winds, fresh about the coast; fine weather with mild day temperatures. Marlborough.—Moderate easterly winds; partly cloudy with warm afternoon temperatures.
