SAVED BOY IN LAKE
J. R. Hill Makes Rescue (M2. Press Association) HAMILTON, Feb. 25. The Empire Games gold medallist and five times New Zealand sculling champion, J R. Hill (Hamilton), saved a young Hamilton adhoolboy, Peter Neil, from drowning at Leite Karapiro yesterday. Hitt, who was cleaning his rowing shell after training for the New Zealand championships thte week, was notified of the young boy’s difficulties by his coach (Mr 1 W. St Clair), who was Standing on the bank. "He dived in and vras off like a Shat,** said Mr St Clair today. "When Jim reached him be was Coing under for tM sixth time. "He brought foe boy ashore.
