The Queen’s Visit

Sir,—l w’ish to thank those for the splendid way in which we were looked after at the Botanic Gardens last Sunday afternoon. As mere “elderlies” we were invited and treated as honoured guests, not only being given at least two very good uninterrupted views of Her Majesty and His Royal Highness and attendants, but also being entertained to a very enjoyable afternoon tea. I think this was a very gracious action by the Mayor and councillors.—Yours, etc.,

ALICE BRUCE. February 21, 1963.
