BIG LAND DEAL
£55,000 For 71 Sections A block of 71 sections off Avonhead road was sold yesterday for £55,000 on behalf of Sunnyridge, Ltd., by the Christchurch land agency firm of J. W. Blauce, Ltd. The purchasers were a syndicate .at local builders known as Mayfair Homes, said Mr J. W. Blance last evening. The land was to be used for the building of homes in the average-price group, he added. The price is one of the biggest paid for an individual transaction of this nature for many years.
