Royal Estate, impressive winner of the Autumn Handl, cap at Wingatui on Thursday, is being prepared for the Thompson Handicap on the opening day of the Wellington autumn meeting next month. Thursday's success was Royal Estate's fifth win for the season and hie second from three starts in open company. Mrs H. G. McLeod's promising Castle Donnington eolt was below his best when he contested the rich Duke of Edinburgh Stakes at the Canterbury Jockey Club’s Royal mooting, but he still ran a good race for fifth.
