Missing Man Arrested

(N,Z. Pres* Association) HAMILTON, Feb. 22

A man who failed to appear in the Supreme Court, ait Wellington last Tuesday, to stand trial on a charge of theft from a dwelling house, was apprehended by the police in Hamilton yesterday He was sitting in a car in a Hamilton street.

The man is Raymond Allen Message, aged 23. a driver He has been remanded in custody to appear in court in Wellington next Monday. In the Supreme Court last Tuesday the Crown Prosecutor, Mr W R. Birks, said Message had last been seen entering the water at Oriental Bay on die Sunday evening, two days earlier. The Chief Justice (Sir Harold Barrowclough) then issued a bench warrant for Message and estreated bail.
