Golf BRITISH TEAM TO VISIT
Invitation Also To Canada (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 21. The New Zealand Golf Association has been advised bv the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews that it was pleased to accept the invitation tendered to the British amateur golf team to pay a brief visit to New Zealand en route to Australia for the third Commonwealth tournament to be played in Sydney from October 15 to 19. The association was Informed that the team's tentative plans Included arrival at Auckland on October 4 and departure for Sydney on October 10. This was announced today by the chairman of the council (Mr G. P. Roberta), who said that a similar invitation had been sent to the Royal Canadian Golf Association, from whom a reply was expected In the near future.
