Third World Best In Seven Days <NJS. Press PERTH, February 17. Satoko Tanaka, of Japan, broke the world 110 yards women's backstroke record at the Australian swimming championships in Perth last night She swam the distance in Imin lOtoec. taking six-tenths of a second off the world record set in the same pool by Pam Sergant (Australia) during the 1962 Empire Games. This was the third world record Miss Tanaka had set in the last seven days. In Sydney she set world figures tor the 220 yards and 200 metres backstroke.
