Fire ’Board Changes
Mr N. G. Pickering was welcomed to the Christchurch Metropolitan Fire Board last evening. He is one of three City Council members appointed to the board, and replaces Mr A. S. Hollander. The meeting was the last for Mr H. J. Reynolds, who has represented local bodies outside the city and who is not seeking re-election. There will be an election for the firemen’s representative on the board The sitting member is Mr W. H. Mathiesou All four fire underwriters representatives on the board have been reappointed.
