Fatal Fall From Cement Hoist

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 12. Fatal injuries w’ere received by a steel worker when the lifting cable on a cement hoist broke and he fell with it as it plummeted down two storeys and a half today. He was: Tony Henry Moderich, aged 27. of Riverside road. Avondale. Mr ModeTich was working on the new eight-storey dormitory block at the Devonport Naval Base. He died soon after admission to Auckland Hospital.
