Noise Nuisance
Sir,—May I voice a complaint about a noise that is a public nuisance ait night? It sounds like an outsize concrete mixer. It went for months last year, day and night. We had a lull over the Christmas holddavs and now it is going again. It is of no matter in the day time but it goes all night and every night. It should be stopped. One cannot sleep at nights because of it and feels warn out in the daytime. How can we keep our health with this kind of thing being allowed? Today is Sunday but these people are at it as usual and have no respect for the Lord’s Day.—Yours, etc., CHANCELLOR STREET. February 10, 1963.
