Miss Fraser Withdraws

Fraser, the world's greatest woman freestyle swimmer, will not be a competitor at the Australian swimming championships which will start at Perth on Friday. She has withdrawn from the Victorian team due to leave Melbourne on Wednesday night. Miss Fraser has pulled out of the championships on medical advice, and has sent a doctor’s certificate to the State Women’s Swimming Association. Her coach. Mr Harry Gallagher, said today that competing in the national titles would not be in the best Interests of her health.
