Rare Fish Found

A tropical fish, rare in New Zealand waters which was picked up alive on the Onaeroa Beach, near Waitara. has been identified as a globe fish by the director of the Taranaki Museum-. Mr R Allen. The last time a globe fish was found in Taranaki was believed to be 1888. The fish, which was found by Mr A. J Campbell, was about 12 inches long and 2j inches thick.
