A 65-minute surf carnival at Ocean Beach, Mount Maunganui, this afternoon will be the feature of the Queen's visit to Tauranga. Earlier the Royal coupie will make a ceremonial drive through Tauranga borough to a public welcome at Memorial Park Later they will drive through ranks of assembled schoo children in the Tauranga Domain. At the surf carnival the Queen and the Duke will watch seven events, including an open surfboat race They will sail in the Britannia at 2.10 pm. for Napier where they are due at 9.45 am. on Sunday.
