The Minister of Health (Mr McKay) will make a number of official calls when he is in Christchurch for the departure of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. The proposed site for the new Christchurch college on the Waimairi road side of the new university campus at Ham will be inspected by the Minister on February 17. He is concerned with the approval of subsidies for halls of residence. On the Monday morning the Minister will visit Calvary Hospital and in the afternoon he will visit St Helens Hospital.
The Rev. A A. Brash, one of the three secretaries of the East Asia Christian Council. will leave on Sunday for a seven-week tour of Southeast Asia.
Mr J. C. Pryde, research officer flor Federated Farmers. has been awarded a special travelling fellowship by the Nuffield Foundation to enable hem to visit Britain and the E.E.C. countries.— (P.A.)
Mr T. E Y. Seddon, chairman of the War Pensions Board, for the last 32 years, wiM retire pn March 31. (P.A.)
Mr B. S. Trotove, of Kererangu, Marlborough, has been reappointed a Government representative on the Wool Board.—(P-A.)
