Murder And

Suicide (N.Z. Press Association) \ GORE, Feb. 7. Verdicts of murder and suicide were returned by the Coroner (Mr W. Graham) at an inquest at Tapamui into ■the deaths of Mrs Mary Watson. Davis, aged 41, and ■her husband, George William Davis, aged 45, M their Crookston residenee on October 25 Jast. A farm empfoyee discovered thesr bodies. The Coroner Hound Mrs Davis died of head and brain injuries as a result of a gunshot wound inflicted by another person and that Davis died of head and brain injuries as a result of a gunshot wound self-toflicted while he was in a depressed state of mind. The Court was told Davis had broken down emottonally three tones in the preceding month. It was stated he was of a worrying nature, and was under a misaippirehensiou as to has financial standing.
