Chestnut Likely To Remain
Although a final decision had not yet been mmie, it seemed likely that the old chestnut tree, which dropped a heavy branch without warning on a Magiatrate’s car and a bailiff's car last week, would not have to be removed. Mid the Registrar of the Supreme Court, Mr J. L. W. Gerken, last evening. He Mid two experts had examined the tree and they had advised him individually. “After the experts have discussed the matter themselves a final decision will be made." he Mid. The decision is expected today. Mr Gerken Mid he «’M hopeful that the tree could be saved, and he thought it would be. However, the safety of passers-by under the tree must be guaranteed.
