Popular Exhibit
A steady stream of people calls daily at the Alexander Turnbull Library in Wellington to view the Treaty of Waitangi. The treaty, which is in a glass case in the entrance of the library, has attracted attention to this extent since being put on permanent display about the middle of 1960. A facsimile of the document is in the Treaty House at Waitangi The chief librarian, Mr C. R. H. Taylor, said today there bad been no representations for the original treaty to be sent to Waitangi for the Queen’s visit.
