Purchase Offer From Hilton?

The vice-president and general manager of Hilton Hotels bitematianal, Mr C. Strand, arrived in Sydney last week. It is understood that he plans to have a meeting with the official receiver of Chevron Sydney, Ltd., Mr B. O. Smith. Chevron uses the “Hilton” name although a scheme for financial participation by the Hilton group in the hotel was abandoned in 1960. Mr C. dore, who built the Otoce-Hilton hotel in London in partnership with the Conrad Hilton group, is expected to arrive in Sydney later this month. In the past, another overseas company which was believed to have considered talcing over the Chevron was Pan American Airways.
