FIRST BLENHEIM EWE FAIR
Sound Values Realised
Values were generally about 10s a head higher than last year in the first ewe fair for the season at Blenheim on Thursday. The entry of abouit 8000 was 2000 to 3000 under last year. A big gallery fallowed the sale. Values were:—
Ewe lambs: Best Romneys, to 53s 6d; average to good, 35s to 435; best Canriedades. to 41s; average to good, 26s to 355.
Two-tooth ewes: Best Romneys, 72b to 755; average to good 55s to t is; best Oorriedales, 58b to sss; average to good 37s to 455. Anmißl draft ewes: Brelamb shorn Corriedales 41s to 45s Od; good NovemberCorriedales and hatf-breds, 18s to 395; good November shorn Romneys, 42s to 475; plant November-shorn Romneys, 30s to 40s.
