FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—A disturbed south-westerly airstream covers New Zealand and the south Tasman Sea. Forecast:— Marlborough, except the Kaikoura Coast.—West to north-west winds, fresh to strong in exposed areas about Cook Strait; partly cloudy; a possible change to cooler southerlies with some showers likely this evening. Outlook: south-westerly conditions continuing. Nelson.—South-westerlies, fresh at times; mainly fine, apart from a few showers in the ranges. Outlook: similar conditions. Canterbury and the Kaikoura Coast.—Light to moderate vanable winds; partly cloudy; southwesterlies freshening tar a time with a few showers; moderate temperatures. Outlook: partly cloudy. . Buller and Westland.—West to south-west winds, fresh to strong at times; variable skies with some showery periods; moderate temperatures. Outlook: showery.
