TURBANS POPULAR IN NEW YORK
Worn To Set Off Big Earrings Turbans have become a fashion craze in New York with the return of short hair and big earrings. In smart restaurants at lunch-time they art- seen in white leather, black jersey or fabric to match a suit or dress. For evening wear, turbans appear in black velvet to set off diamond earrings, pastelshaded chiffons, gold or silver lame. They are worn to cover the hair completely, day or night. Many fashion leaders have a wardrobe of turbans to team with their new collections of earrings.
