RACING DRIVERS
National Awards Made New Zealand national driver awards were presented at the annual conference of the New Zealand Racing Drivers’ Club in Christchurch. The awards were for the 1961-82 season. The racing car award went to B. McLaren (Auckland), the sports car award to B. Cottle (Dunedin) and the saloon car award to R J. N. Archibald (Christchurch). Officers elected were:— Patron, Mr J. Mathieson. MJ*.; president, Mr L E. O. McKellar (Ashburton); vicepresident, Mr G. Palmer (Hamilton); executive, Messrs D. H. Lawrence (Wanganui). R. A. Levis (Putaruru), W. Darrell (Christchurch), and A. F. Moffat (ffinde).
