X-RAY MOTION PICTURES
Chiropractors To Study Technique The Chiropractic Society of New Zealand is arranging for the introduction of a new method of studying the spine under working conditions. “X-ray motion pictures of the spine with the patient in sitting, bending, standing, and walking positions are now being used by the European Chiropractic Research Association under the direction of Dr H. Gillet, of Brussels, to reveal a number of hitherto unknown factors of spinal joint functions under the actual conditions of everyday life," said Mr J. J. Richardson, secretary of the society, in Christchurch last evening. "After 15 years of intensive investigation of the spine In these conditions. Dr. Gillet has announced an entirely new method of spinal examination and treatment.” said Mr Richardson. "These technical advances, information on which has only recently come to New Zealand, have already helped solve many spinal problems which had been of concern to the chiropractic profession for years There is definite hope that spinal subluxations and fixations will be subject to much more rapid correction in the future,” said Mr Richardson.
The Chiropractic Society of New Zealand was arranging for this work to be presented to the profession in this country and a course tor practitioners would be held as soon as Dr. Gillet could make available X-ray motion pictures, a full-length motion picture, and recorded lectures on the new techniques.
